Love him or hate him Tim Burton's picture should defiantly be in the dictionary next to genius. This critically acclaimed writer, directer, producer, animator, and actor has all types of fans world wide. His amazing works including but not limited to The Nightmare Before Christmas, Beetlejuice, Edward Scissorhands, The Corpse Bride, and Sweeney Todd are loved by millions all over the world. His fans range from children to adults of all types and from all backgrounds. His fans have not really been labeled yet have been accused of certain types of labels that were incorrect. Some bands or music genres have a name for their fans because they have such a large fan base. What most people don't know is that Tim Burton has one of the largest fan bases for a director in history! We've decided to put an end to this madness. Tim Burton fans are different. They aren't a specific label already put place in society because they come from everywhere. They think outside the box. They cheer on the anti-hero because Tim Burton has the ability to make them lovable. They love the Victorian Gothic look to his films and they bask in his ability to transfer emotions through color. They love his original characters, his remade characters, and appreciate the works he has made for us to know and love as classics. Tim Burton's fans see the world through different eyes. They are Burtonesque.
Tim Burton fans have a large enough standing on their own, but thanks to his works he has brought many actors and actresses to fame through his movies. One in particular is the ever talented, handsome, and versatile Johnny Depp. Johnny Depp is known for his six major roles with Tim Burton in Edward Scissorhands, Ed Wood, Sleepy Hollow, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Corpse Bride, and Sweeney Todd. Not to mention his other major roles in non-Burton movies such as Cry-Baby, Secret Window, The Ninth Gate, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Benny & Joon, What's Eating Gilbert Grape, Donnie Brasco, and his increasingly popular role as Captain Jack Sparrow in the Disney Trilogy, Pirates of the Caribbean.
