History
Birthplace: Tampa Florida
Family: Mother: Aida Perez, living in Tampa; Father: Joseph Enders, living in New York City
History: Elaina was mostly raised by her mother, a native of Puerto Rico. Her parents divorced when she was only six and her father moved to New York City soon after. She went to his house only a few times in her life because of a lack of funds to get her there and back. She was cared for by her mother very lovingly and was given the best her mother could give her not being highly educated and having only low paying jobs. Elaina dreamed of making a better life for herself than her mother had and worked as hard as she could in all of her academics. She was lucky enough to get a scholarship to Florida State University once she graduated High School and was woring to get a business degree. Things were seeming to go her way when everything changed.
One night in her dorm Elaina heard a knock at her door and upon answering it was attacked. She had been knocked out and repeatedly rapped and beaten by a serial rapist and killer. He had only killed a few times before he attacked Elaina and was not highly skilled, leaving her for dead rather than finishing the job. Elaina was found in time by her roommate but her life would never be the same. She had been mutilated by her attacker, who was never found. She bears the scars from that attack on her abdomin where he had repeatedly cut into her hoping to have her bleed out. He had not cut deep enough however and she survived, although traumatized.
After the attack, Elaina transfered to the University of South Florida in order to be closer to her mother and not have to think about the horror she had endured on the campus. She changed her course study to Forensics and specialized in DNA analysis. She wished to be part of the law enforcement agency but did not want to be in any position where she would have to really face any suspects or violent people. She found work with the Tampa police department shortly after finishing school.
She has worked out steadily since the attack and is peak physical condition and is skilled in several forms of self defense. She has always kept her guard up since then and when she felt that she was being threatened by people sensing there was something in her past decided it was time to leave Tampa. Her mother had also urged her to move on not thinking it was healthy for her to always be sheltered by her mother.
Elaina put in for transfers to several law enforcement offices across the state and was offered a position in Miami. She took it hoping to have the change of scenery restore her confidence.
