Character Basics
Full Name: Deborah Morgan
Nickname(s): Deb
Age: 29
Appearance
Look: Deb is about 5'6/5'7ish. As a teenager she was plagued with a boyish awkward figure that she never really grew out of. She is slender, and just barely muscular (all those hours at the gym). Her dark brown hair is cut just below the shoulders with bangs on her forehead, which is often pulled back for work. She has hazel eyes and wears very little make up. Her fashion sense reflects the suppressed tomboy within; basically, you will very rarely see Deb in a dress.
Scars or Tattoos: A few scars, which she wishes she had epic stories of their origins, but in reality they came with growing up.
Portrayed By: (can include picture here):
Jennifer Carpenter
Personality:
Basic Personality: Deborah is a firecracker. She is probably the crude and brutally honest person you will ever meet. She is never afraid to say anything and her vocabulary tends to resemble that of Scarface. Deb has this underlying need for acceptance (but she will never admit it!). She utterly devoted to her career and will do anything to get the job done. She is headstrong and task oriented, but has one fiery temper, which can sometimes get her in trouble. At the end of the day, family is very important to Deborah. She likes to believe that she has a good relationship with her adoptive brother, and looks to him on many occasions for career advise. Deb tends to jump around with men. She has good intentions and hopes to settle down one day, but until then, she is just enjoying the ride.
Accent: American
Occupation: Recently promoted from Vice to Homicide Detective for the Miami Police Department.
History
Birthplace: Miami, Florida.
Family: Harry Morgan (Biological Father) Doris Morgan (Biological Brother) and Dexter Morgan (Foster Brother)
History: Deborah Morgan could not have been born into a better family. A hardworking police officer for a father, and a mother who could not be more excited to be a mom. It was obvious that she was a tomboy from her toddler years when she would rather climb a tree and kick a soccer ball than pick up a doll. She fallowed her father around daily dreaming of one day doing exactly what he was doing. She was "Daddy's little girl" until daddy came home with a little boy. The day that Harry Morgan brought home the traumatized young boy he called "Dexter" was the day that Deborah's home life changed forever. Immediately the focus went strait to Dexter, which became a normal occurrence as Deb grew up. Harry took a special liking to Dexter. The two would go on weekend trips that Deborah longed to go on. All she wanted as a child was to find acceptance from her estranged father. During school Deborah slaved over her schoolwork hoping that achedimics might impress her father or at least have him show interest. Finally, Deborah realized that, if she were to pursue a career in the police force, her father would pay more attention to her. After her mother passed away, Deborah became closer to her brother. Although, the family was not perfect, it was looking up. Harry died soon after and Dexter and Deb were left to be each other's family. Now working together in the Miami PD, Deborah is now focusing on doing her best in her job, and tries not to think about her lack of a social life.
